TIPS on Going to Universal Studios Singapore
Posted on December 31, 2010, under Personal, Universal Studios Singapore.
Short talk: Last day of 2010, hopefully 2011 will bring more luck and motivation for me. Goodbye.
This December holidays went to this place with Kian Siong and today will do a review of it and maybe some tips of mine, photos too.
TIPS 1: DO HOMEWORK BEFORE GOING
First of all I truly recommend to check the official website to know the latest information about the theme park such as the ticket price and the opening hours because it may change from time to time. Basically, do buy the non-peak day ticket to enjoy cheaper ticket price and less time of queue. I went on weekday so less people, I mean really not so much that I imagined before I went to.
TIPS 2: GO ON YEAR END
Although many people think that December is dropped on school holidays but in fact I think it’s the best time to go because year end will always be the Singapore raining season and it doesn’t hot like hell as what people told me before I went there.
TIPS 3: BUY TICKET EARLIER OR RESERVE ONLINE (FOR MALAYSIAN)
For Malaysian, you are recommended to buy the tickets from a travel agency such as 707 Travel, they got sell it and they only accept Singapore Dollar upon purchase while for online reserve I’m not that recommend as you need to print the confirmation letter and proceed to take a long queue at the Guest Service there while if you get from travel agency, you can simply go to that travel agency branch located at ground floor of the Resort World Singapore and you can get the ticket at instant.
You can also buy the ticket from the ticketing booth there buy I just scared that it might be sold off.

Universal Studios Singapore Ticket, after entering using the ticket remember to go into the Guest Service counters for a redemption of SG$5 rebate on Dining and Buying Gift each inside the the Studios only.
TIPS 4: HOW TO GET THERE (FOR MALAYSIAN)
GO AND BACK: For Malaysian it’s good to be ready by 8AM as along the way to Custom Singapore will take lots of time. Front Kranji, take the MRT to Harbourfront bus stop and with SG$2.00 the bus (RWS8) will take you to the Resort World Singapore. This bus is a round trip bus which means you can take this from the resort back to Harbourfront bus stop for free.
Another option is taking the monorail inside the VivoCity at SG$3.00. You can take the monorail back to VivoCity at no charge also.
But, there’s another shortcut that is you can board onto the Resort World Bus located in front of Kotaraya, Johor Bahru for only RM5 the bus will straightaway bring you to the Resort World Singapore.
TIPS 5: BRING YOUR OWN RAINCOAT OR PONCHO
It’s necessary for Jurassic Theme Park or else you will get full-body soaked. You can also buy at there at SG$2.00. But another important tips for you is that in the end of the adventure of Jurassic, if you are facing backward of the door that will open, you will get splash by the water for sure even with poncho you will get soaked in your shoes and hair also, so Good Luck.
TIPS 6: WHICH TO PLAY FIRST?
After entering I recommend you to play the Mummy and the Jurassic, for Jurassic because you will get wet so better get wet earlier before go back. Mummy ride is popular so to avoid long queue it’s better you can go play them after you enter into the park. Also, for the Mummy ride, you have to put your bags into the lockers and the lockers is free for the first 30 minutes while for the Jurassic you can bring along bags into.
